1. Where is the clinic located?
The Swiss Medica clinic is located in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. Here, we provide stem cell treatment for ASD, MS, ALS, Parkinson’s, and many other diseases.
We also have another clinic in Slovenia, specializing in rehabilitation and post-treatment for dire conditions and diseases.
2. Are you legal?
Yes, absolutely. Swiss Medica Clinics operates within the legal and regulatory framework of the countries where we provide our services. We adhere to strict ethical and medical guidelines, and our treatments are conducted by licensed medical professionals with extensive experience in stem cell therapy.
We value transparency and can provide you with several ways to gain confidence in our clinic. Contact us to get detailed information on our certificates and accreditations, have a virtual 3D tour through the clinic, and book an in-person consultation with our medical team.
3. Why are you called Swiss Medica, but your clinic is located in Serbia?
Originally, we started in 2011 as a Swiss clinic with headquarters in St. Gallen, Switzerland. But in 2016, the regulations for using the donors’ stem cells in Switzerland changed, meaning we were not able to treat patients in Switzerland with donor cells anymore.
This proved to be an obstacle for us, as there are many diseases that we only treat with cells obtained from donors, not the patients themselves: the patient’s own cells are already weakened and less effective, whereas the donor cells are youthful, active, and in large numbers. This is the case with diseases like MS, ALS, Parkinson’s, and many more.
Hence, we had to choose a new location for our clinic. Here are some of the reasons we have decided on Serbia:
Regulatory Environment: Serbia has established regulations that allow for the use of certain regenerative medicine therapies, including mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) therapy. These regulations provide a favorable environment for clinics like Swiss Medica Group to offer MSC therapy under specific conditions.
Expertise and experience: Serbia has a pool of experienced medical professionals and researchers who specialize in regenerative medicine and stem cell therapies. The clinic in Belgrade benefits from the knowledge and expertise of these professionals, who are dedicated to advancing the field and providing high-quality care to patients.
Cost-effectiveness: Healthcare costs can vary significantly between countries. By operating in Serbia, Swiss Medica Group can offer MSC therapy at a more affordable price compared to clinics located in other countries, especially in Switzerland. This makes the treatment more accessible to a broader range of patients.
Accessibility for international patients: Belgrade is well-connected by international flights and has a developed infrastructure for medical tourism. Patients from various countries can travel to the clinic in Belgrade to receive MSC therapy without facing significant logistical challenges.
4. How do I apply for treatment?
First, please reach out to us to schedule a free consultation with the doctor and the medical advisor. During this consultation, you will have the opportunity to understand:
- what to expect from stem cell therapy in your case;
- how much it costs;
- how long the treatment lasts;
- how and why it works.
In the consultation, the doctors will also carefully evaluate your medical history and condition to assess the potential effectiveness of the therapy for your condition.
Following this evaluation, a personalized treatment program will be created for you, including available dates for your arrival at the clinic. This ensures that your treatment plan is tailored to your needs and maximizes the chances of a successful outcome.
5. How long do I need to stay at the clinic?
The duration of the stay at the clinic can vary, depending on the treatment goals, the number of procedures necessary, and the patient’s condition. Patients typically stay for three days to two weeks, though you will have to discuss specifics with your doctor.
We strive to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for patients, offering cozy rooms that resemble a home-like setting rather than a traditional hospital setting. Additionally, we understand the importance of emotional support, and you are welcome to have your loved ones accompany you during the treatment process.
